Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Controller to join our clients dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring that stock levels are accurate, materials are available when needed, and inventory processes run smoothly. The successful candidate will play a key part in driving efficiency, minimizing costs, and supporting operational excellence.

Inventory Control
  • Picking: Accurately pick stock in line with picking instructions, ensuring zero errors; report discrepancies immediately.
  • Bin Accuracy: Extract stock only from the correct bin location and escalate any errors without delay.
  • Packing: Pack stock precisely according to packing instructions, ensuring accuracy at all times.
  • Dispatch Preparation: Ensure all packed cartons are sealed, labelled, and weighed on the same day for handover.
  • Stock Counts: Support preparation and unit counts during stock takes as required.
  • Storage Efficiency: Consolidate multiple stock items onto single pallets daily to optimize bin storage space.
  • Inbound Receipts: Verify and record all inbound inventory accurately, reporting any errors immediately.
Administration
  • Documentation: File all binning and extraction instructions daily in line with the bin and extraction control spreadsheet.
  • Audits: Complete and submit 20 bin audit checks per week.
  • Labelling: Ensure all stock is palletized and clearly labelled.
Health & Safety
  • Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Equipment: Report any faulty or non-conforming equipment immediately.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organised workspaceeverything in its place at all times.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Grade 12 (essential)
  • 1-2 years working experience
  • RMS Inventory control experience and knowledge
