Job description

Description

RPO Recruitment's client is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to join their team in Boksburg, Gauteng. The successful candidate will oversee inventory processes across branches, ensuring stock optimization and supporting efficient warehouse and consignment operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Report on branch stock levels, availability, excess stock, and utilization across branches.
  • Review forecasting and ordering procedures for continuous improvement in inventory management.
  • Minimize overstocks and redundant inventory while ensuring capital availability.
  • Monitor back orders, liaise with procurement, and validate all system back orders.
  • Identify root causes of inventory issues and implement corrective processes.
  • Stay current with best practices in inventory control and suggest policy enhancements.
  • Manage consignment warehouses and ensure compliance with consignment agreements.
  • Monitor consignment stock quantities and movements to prevent aging stock.
  • Process stock adjustments and post journals to relevant branch ledger codes.
  • Compile weekly and monthly inventory reports; liaise with Stores Supervisor and Operations Manager.
  • Support national stock takes, including administrative functions and report consolidation.
  • Assist with investigating inventory discrepancies and responding to branch queries.
  • Ensure full compliance with SHEQ Management Systems.

Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate (essential)
  • Diploma in a related field (advantageous)
  • 15 years of experience in inventory management
  • Knowledge of Syspro and Inventory Optimization Systems (advantageous)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good mathematical and reasoning abilities
  • Customer-focused mindset
