Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory Specialist to manage inventory records at its Polokwane facility. You will perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accuracy in the Warehouse Management System.

You will optimize stock organization, report on inventory status, and support receiving, put-away and picking processes with a focus on safety and efficiency. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control or stock management.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical inventory checks and operate relevant equipment.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of basic warehouse operations and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of stock records.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain and update inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status, including slow-moving or obsolete items.
• Ensure proper organization and labeling of inventory within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with operations teams to support efficient receiving, put-away, and picking processes.
