Job description

Introduction

Assist in the management of stock levels to ensure availability of required products. Execute instructions allocated to the order picker and Inventory Clerks which includes counting stock, high bin picking as well as active put aways.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that all transactions are done correctly as required from the Inventory team and executed on scanners.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and planned wall to wall counts in accordance with the standard operating procedures. These counts include active (pickface) and reserve (racking) locations to be counted on an order picker.
• Ensure that the daily duties communicated by the Inventory Controller and Wave Controller are completed in terms of cycle counts, active put aways, expiry date verification, activity counts, and picking.
• Ensure the products are always in the correct pickfaces and that the location labels are clearly visible with the correct information.
• Confirming expiry date and batch details of the entire warehouse monthly.
• Repacking of pallets as and when required.
• Checking of outbound / inbound stock as and when required.
• Any lawful and reasonable instruction.
  
  

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12 an advantage or experience in a similar role
• Computer literacy must include Basic Cquential knowledge
• Experience with scanners
• Order Picker license required
• Working at heights at maximum of 12.2m an advantage
• Working at heights will be required for Inventory Clerks up to 12.2m.
• Good understanding of Inventory.
• Capable of delivering a high level of accuracy.
• Self-motivated and disciplined.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to work under pressure.
