Job summary

Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (SA) Ltd seeks experienced actuaries with 5+ years to drive strategic projects and commercial insights across the group. You will work in cross-functional teams within an internal consultancy, solving complex business challenges and unlocking opportunities to deliver value.

You will engage with stakeholders, develop business and strategy awareness, and contribute to a learning-rich mentorship environment that supports growth and innovation.

Qualifications

• Actuarial qualification with 5+ years of experience invited to apply.
• Exposure to IFRS 17 reporting and data-driven decision making would be advantageous.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional workstreams in a consultancy or corporate setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic insights and commercial analytics across Old Mutual groups.

Requirements

Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required Recently or almost qualified actuaries with more than 5 years' experience are invited to apply. The roles will suit balanced individuals with strong technical skills, an aptitude for commercial and innovative thinking and the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders. The following skills would be a distinct advantage: IFRS 17 reporting Data science Reporting automation / transformation Capital Technical pricing The individual should demonstrate project management skills and be able to coordinate and direct resources on workstreams. Previous experience of working in a consultancy or similar environment would be an advantage. Our roots are in insurance and actuaries continue to be a critical talent pool for us.
