POSITION INFO

Job Overview: The purpose of the position of the Intermediate Systems Developer is to join a team of developers to develop and maintain internal administration systems and websites that are developed in object-oriented programming languages.

This includes developing new features, maintaining the current code base, and fixing bugs. The Intermediate Systems Developer is responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users.

The primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. The Intermediate Systems Developer is also responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12 certificate or equivalent Level 4 qualification issued by SAQA
2. Clear criminal and ITC record
3. Knowledge / Experience in MySQL, PostGres, GIT
4. Experience in Laravel, .NET or Yii frameworks advantageous
5. Experience in Python advantageous
6. Experience in the use of debugging software advantageous
7. Minimum of 5-6 years working experience
