Job summary

team5pm, part of SAMY, is seeking an Intermediate / Senior Video Editor to shape stories through long-form and short-form content for social platforms. You will collaborate with creatives to sharpen scripts, edit videos, and bring fresh ideas from current trends, while exploring generative AI and automation to enhance workflows.

You’ll work with a global team, contribute to storytelling quality, and elevate content with motion graphics, animation, and design skills as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of video editing experience in commercial/advertising and YouTube long-form content.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Extensive multicam sequence editing and sound editing experience.
• Strong skills in After Effects and Photoshop for animation and design.
• Interest in generative AI and automation, with willingness to share learnings.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Dutch and/or German.
• Able to communicate with people from diverse countries and cultures.
• Bonus: having your own YouTube channel and being able to showcase your work.

• Challenge and inspire creatives to take scripts and videos to the next level.
• Stay on top of current trends in long-form and short-form video and bring them into our work.

• Take initiative and ownership of projects from first cut to final delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients and partners around the world.

As our Intermediate / Senior Video Editor, you’ll be a key creative voice on the team. You won’t just cut footage and create timelines. You’ll help shape the story. You’ll work closely with our creatives to sharpen scripts and concepts, edit long-form content (and short-form too), and bring in fresh ideas from the latest (social) trends. You’ll also help the team get more out of generative AI and automation.

What you bring

• 6+ years of video editing experience, in commercial/advertising work and YouTube long-form content
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and strong command of the Adobe Creative Suite
• A lot of experience in multicam sequence editing and sound editing
• Solid skills in After Effects and Photoshop for animation and design work
• A real affinity with long-form storytelling, and ideally experience with short-form content too
• A strong sense for what’s trending and what keeps audiences watching
• Genuine interest in generative AI and automation, and enthusiasm for sharing what you learn
• An assertive, proactive attitude: you speak up, take initiative and raise the bar
• Confidence in your skills, and the energy to lift the team around you
• Fluent written and spoken English AND Dutch and/or German
• Comfortable communicating with people from different countries and cultures
• A curious mindset and an eagerness to keep learning
• A big bonus would be if you have your own Youtube channel and is able to showcase your performance
