Intermediate Revit Designer

Job Summary :
The Intermediate Revit Designer plays a key role in the design and coordination of fire protection systems using Revit. This role is suited for a technically skilled designer with proven experience who can manage parts of the design process independently, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and support both senior and junior team members when needed.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Design
- Manage and execute design components for allocated projects, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in project meetings to understand client requirements, timelines, and site conditions.
- Work closely with senior designers, engineers, and project managers to produce coordinated, efficient designs.
- Provide technical input into the planning and phasing of design tasks.
- Ensure designs meet quality, compliance, and value-for-money objectives.
- Assist in preparing documentation for ASIB and other regulatory submissions.
Design Work
Independently produce detailed fire protection system drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.Perform hydraulic calculations to determine optimal pipe sizing and water supply requirements.Conduct site inspections and measurements as required for retrofit or as-built design work.Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, company protocols, and compliance codes.Assist with generating fabrication lists, equipment schedules, and layout drawings.Team & Technical Support
Collaborate with team members on integrated design solutions.Provide guidance and technical support to junior designers.Liaise with external consultants and clients for design approvals and clarifications.Continuously improve technical skills and stay current with Revit updates and fire protection standards.Administration & Reporting
Maintain accurate project records, drawing versions, and documentation.Contribute to design reports and project status updates.Support the estimation team by supplying initial design inputs for costing proposals.Ensure that all design-related tasks are completed within agreed timelines and budgets.Qualifications : Qualifications
Revit certification or formal training is essential.ASIB / IFE Certificate (or equivalent) preferred.In the absence of formal qualifications, demonstrable fire protection design experience will be considered.Experience
5 – 7 years’ experience in fire protection system design, specifically using Revit.Experience working on commercial or industrial projects preferred.Familiarity with ASIB requirements and other fire system compliance standards.Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.Sound understanding of fire protection system layouts and hydraulic principles.Ability to work independently and manage multiple design tasks.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Good communication and teamwork skills.Capable of engaging with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders professionally.
