Introduction

The Intermediate Project Manager is responsible for leading moderately complex software development and implementation projects across the organization. The role requires coordination of cross-functional teams, managing timelines, budgets, and scope, while ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

Description
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, coordinate, and manage software project activities from initiation to closure.
  2. Create and maintain detailed project documentation including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
  3. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for seamless execution.
  4. Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  5. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  6. Organize regular project review meetings with stakeholders and team members.
  7. Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  8. Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  9. Communicate project progress and escalate issues when necessary.

Accountability
  1. On-time and within-budget delivery of assigned projects.
  2. Accuracy and timeliness of project reporting.
  3. Stakeholder satisfaction and communication.
  4. Proactive risk and issue management.
  5. Compliance with organizational project management standards.

Minimum Requirements
Must have Experience:
  1. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM) is required and must be valid and actively maintained.
  2. 3–5 years of project management experience in relevant industries.
  3. Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  4. Experience in the telecommunications or IT industry.
  5. Experience with Remote/Distributed Teams: Comfort working with hybrid or fully remote teams across different time zones.
  6. Multi-Project Handling: Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with interdependencies.

  1. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to convey ideas clearly to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  2. Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines effectively.
  3. Leadership & Influence: Capable of motivating cross-functional teams and guiding them toward a common goal without direct authority.
  4. Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions quickly.
  5. Adaptability: Comfortable navigating change, uncertainty, and shifting project scopes or business needs.
  6. Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: Skilled at balancing differing viewpoints and driving consensus in complex stakeholder environments.
  7. Time Management: Efficient at managing their own time and others’ to meet deliverables.
  8. Stakeholder Management: Able to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and customers.
  9. Attention to Detail: Precision in project documentation, risk assessments, and planning.

Nice to have Experience:
  1. Agile/Scrum Experience: Hands-on experience managing projects in Agile environments or certification in Scrum Master/Product Owner roles.
  2. Basic understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), DevOps, or systems architecture.
  3. Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Sciforma, Zoho Projects.
  4. Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets and understand cost-benefit analyses.
  5. Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable using KPIs and metrics to drive project decisions.
  6. Experience in a Regulated Industry: (e.g., telecoms) where governance and compliance are crucial.
