Qualifications

• SACE registered with at least 3 years teaching experience, including remedial education.

Vuleka Assisted Learning Primary School situated in Randburg invites applications for the following position:

Intermediate Phase Teacher (grade 6/7 – all subjects)

Qualifications:

• 4-year Bachelor of Education degree or Bachelor’s degree and PGCE in the relevant subject specialization or BEd Hons (Learning Support) or BEd Hons (Inclusive Education)
• Registered with SACE
• South African citizen
• At least 3- year teaching experience – at least 1 of which is in remedial education or learner support
• Police Clearance (not older than 3 months)
• Broad knowledge of and interest in the development and education of children
• A track record of high expectations personally and professionally
• Persistence through challenges
• A driver’s license (own car would be great)
• Experience in working with learners with Special Needs and/or Learning Disabilities will be an advantage.
• Remedial Qualifications will be an advantage.
• Good understanding and application of school software programmes – Edupac and Microsoft 365 (or must be willing to be trained)
• Good understanding of the use of a variety of technologies in the classroom and online – tablets, Microsoft Teams (Keeps up to date)
• Strong planning, organising, and reporting skills
• Knowledge of Positive education

• Ability to work within a successful team
• Substantive understanding of current pressures relating to family and socio-economic aspects and how these may impact pupils
