Intermediate Phase (Grade 4 – 6) Mathematics Teacher
Intermediate Phase (Grade 4 – 6) Mathematics Teacher

Applications from qualified individuals are invited for this specialist teaching position in the Intermediate Phase of the Primary School, as Mathematics Teacher.

The date of commencement will be the 1st of January 2026.

Selection criteria include:

  • A relevant teaching qualification from a recognised institution.
  • Comprehensive teaching experience and a detailed understanding of the relevant syllabus, in line with ISASA and the CAPS curriculum.
  • The ability to demonstrate full awareness of educational and pedagogical developments, regarding both subject matter and curriculum development.
  • Exposure to PBL and an IBL approach, to teaching and learning.
  • Experience in teaching NumberSense and any other mathematics learning models.
  • An interest in promoting the integration of IT into teaching and learning is essential as Brescia House School is a Microsoft Showcase School and therefore
  • A preference given to candidates who are a Microsoft Certified Educator, or have the willingness to obtain an MCE and MIEE certification.
  • A proven record of commitment, innovation and professionalism toward holistic education and the willingness to embrace rapid changes in education.
  • Proof of registration with SACE.

The successful individuals will be required to:

  • Contribute as an active member of the teaching body of the Primary School, working with both the Foundation and High School phases.
  • Participate in an active and full co-curricular Intermediate Phase programme.
  • The willingness to attend conferences, meetings and training opportunities.
  • Support and motivate the girls by creating a passion and interest in the subject.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage diverse relationships and interact with a variety of different stakeholders, including parents, across the school.
