Job description

We are looking for an intermediate native mobile application developer to build and maintain a whitelabelled iOS and Android application for our clients. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong communication skills and an in-depth knowledge of Android development using Android Studio (Java) and iOS development using Xcode (Swift). This role reports to the current mobile application developer and is primarily a remote development position.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Creating, developing, and maintaining native Android and iOS applications in line with client requirements.
2. Writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code while adhering to coding and business best practices.
3. Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance.
4. Ensuring applications are fit-for-purpose, stable, and secure through thorough testing, code reviews, and version control (Git).
5. App deployment management and monitoring.
6. Collaborating with clients, consultants, and designers to meet business and client objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 3 years of application development and testing experience for Android and iOS applications.
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Xcode (Swift).
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Familiarity with GitHub or similar version control tools.

Advantageous Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Firebase for push notifications and analytics.
• Knowledge of Kotlin, Objective-C.
• Experience with scalable application architecture and backend design.
