Job description

Our client, a global tech firm, is seeking an Intermediate IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance Specialist to join their team in Auckland Park (onsite) on a contract basis.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive Governance strategy.
  2. Develop and implement IT Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance policies, processes, and procedures.
  3. Implement and embed various frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO, NIST, SABSA, PRINCE II, CMM, etc.).
  4. Implement IT controls aligned with risk, legislative, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  5. Develop, monitor, and report on IT governance metrics and performance indicators.
  6. Assist in maintaining IT alignment activities, including report submissions across governance committees.
  7. Support IT departments in developing and maintaining incident response plans.
  8. Assist in preparing stakeholder communications related to cybersecurity incidents.
  9. Maintain accurate documentation of IT GRC activities.
  10. Develop, implement, and monitor reporting mechanisms for IT Governance, Risk Management, and Audit to ensure compliance and identify exposures.
  11. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies as required.
Qualifications
  • Degree in IT or related field.
  • At least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Certifications such as CGEIT, CRISC, CISA, GIAC are advantageous.
