Role Overview

We are seeking an Intermediate DevOps Engineer with strong programming skills in .NET, .NET Core, C#, and Angular to join our team.

In this role, you'll bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring seamless deployment, scalability, and reliability of our software solutions.

You'll work on automating processes, managing cloud infrastructure, and supporting agile development while contributing to the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automate deployment processes using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
2. Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
3. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable software releases.
4. Monitor system performance, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
5. Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
6. Write and maintain scripts in C#, Python, or Bash to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
7. Support and troubleshoot applications built on .NET, .NET Core, and Angular.
8. Contribute to the development of innovative solutions by leveraging your programming and DevOps expertise.

Your Skills and Experience

Essential Requirements:

1. Strong experience in a DevOps or production support role, focusing on maintaining critical production systems.
2. Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for quickly identifying and resolving production issues.
3. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with cross-functional teams and business users.
4. Proficient in Linux/Unix systems administration and scripting (Bash, Python), with experience in writing automation scripts and managing system configurations.
5. Solid SQL and No-SQL skills, particularly with Oracle and Cosmos DB.
6. Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Chef is a plus.
7. Knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) for managing CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release management.
8. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and associated tools.
9. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Dynatrace, App Insights).

DevOps Expertise:

1. Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Jenkins.
2. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
3. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.

Programming Skills:

1. Strong proficiency in .NET, .NET Core, and C#.
2. Experience with Angular for front-end development.
3. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

General Skills:

1. Understanding of agile development methodologies.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
