Salary R25K CTC - Negotiable on experience

Career opportunity in the Travel / Tourism sector, we require a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper / Accountant.

Play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the financial health of the organization.

Criteria :

  • Matric + relevant Financial Diploma / Degree in Accounting (would be advantageous)
  • MS Office, Advanced Excel, Proficiency in any accounting software e.g.
  • Min 2 years of experience in bookkeeping / accounting (experience in the tourism industry is a plus).

KPA's :

  • Record daily financial transactions accurately in accounting software.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are properly documented.

Accounts Payable and Receivable :

  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly.
  • Assist in following up on outstanding client payments.

Bank Reconciliations :

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Monitor, Track, and categorize expenses to ensure proper budget allocation.
  • Assist in preparing expense reports for management review.

Tax Compliance :

  • Prepare and file VAT returns and other tax submissions in compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.

Payroll Management :

  • Process employee payroll, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments.
  • Maintain records of employee hours, benefits, and deductions.
  • Prepare payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Reporting :

  • Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.

Technical & Soft Skills :

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
