The objective of a Tester for the Caseware Division is to achieve ongoing financial success for the business through efficient product delivery and utilization. The incumbent is responsible for partnering with key internal stakeholders for the planning, development, and execution of quality assurance and application testing to enhance customer value.
This role will encompass assistance with automated testing beyond the financial reporting products and provide guidance and mentorship to test analysts.
Responsibilities
- Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results;
- Contribute to the development and testing of User Stories;
- Analyse test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plans;
- Validate User Stories by ensuring that they have appropriate Test plans and adhere to Testing Standards;
- Facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members and ensure test plans are approved by a fellow Test Analyst before execution;
- Identify potential quality issues per defined process and escalate as necessary;
- Drive successful execution of sprint objectives by coordinating with stakeholders across the release value-chain;
- Participate in activities that support success in Program Increments;
- Resolve challenges impacting delivery and partner with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members to identify risks;
- Maintain effective communication to inform customer experience interventions;
- Support go-to-market execution by collaborating with product teams and customer-facing functions;
- Establish trusted relationships to drive product and service value;
- Utilize client feedback to enhance product features;
- Optimize metrics to improve velocity, cycle time, and product performance.
Qualifications
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree;
- 3-5 years’ experience in software testing/development and/or Caseware Working Papers;
- ISTQB Foundation or Agile qualification is preferred;
- Experience with automation software and ticketing systems like JIRA;
- Knowledge of Caseware Working Papers software and accounting;
