Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and technically skilled Interior Designer to join our dynamic joinery manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and developing custom joinery solutions for residential, commercial, and retail projects. The role involves close collaboration with clients, production teams, and site managers to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
·Meet with clients to determine design requirements, budgets, and project objectives.
·Develop design concepts, mood boards, and 3D visualisations.
·Create accurate technical drawings, cutting lists, and joinery specifications for production.
·Select appropriate materials, hardware, and finishes in line with project requirements and company standards.
·Conduct site visits for measurements, installation checks, and client feedback.
·Liaise with workshop staff, production managers, and site teams to ensure seamless execution.
·Assist estimators and project managers with design details, material quantities, and labour estimates.
·Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
·Maintain proper documentation and revision control for all projects.
Skills & Competencies Required:
·Proficiency in design software (SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
·Strong knowledge of joinery materials, hardware, and manufacturing techniques.
·Ability to translate client requirements into practical, buildable designs.
·Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
·Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
·High attention to detail with a creative flair
·Driver’s License and Own Transport.
Working Hours:
·Monday – Thursday 07:30 - 17:00
·Friday: 07:30 - 14:30
·Overtime and occasional Saturday work may be required depending on project demands.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
·Diploma or Degree in Interior Design / Architectural Technology / or related field.
·Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in interior design, preferably within a joinery or shopfitting environment.
·Portfolio of completed joinery-related projects.
