Placements24 in Upington, Northern Cape, seeks an experienced Inter-City Logistics Driver to operate between major centers from a base in Upington. You will transport goods over long distances, uphold safety standards, and ensure timely deliveries while keeping the vehicle in good condition.

The role requires a Code 14 (CE) license with PrDP, 4+ years of long-distance driving, and strong autonomy and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 (CE) driver's license with a PrDP.
• Minimum of 4 years of long-distance/inter-city driving experience.
• Good knowledge of major South African road networks, especially Northern Cape routes.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty vehicles for inter-city freight transport.
• Plan routes efficiently and meet delivery timelines.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, secured and delivered safely.
• Maintain logs, trip reports, and fuel records.
