Intelligent Automation Manager

These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance of the automated processes we implement.
• We count on your experience, knowledge, and leadership skills when you will be key in driving the expansion of our Intelligent Automation (IA) Consulting Team which includes RPA.
• You will help our clients to simplify and improve their operations by developing business cases, analysing clients as-is processes, designing to-be processes and creating end-to-end automation solution blueprints which form the basis of the robotic process automation solutions we implement for our clients.
• In doing so, you will bring your expert knowledge of RPA deployments using one or more of the recognized RPA software (Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Work Fusion, UI Path, Power Automate etc) to bear as you facilitate client workshops, document business requirements, and develop them into use cases and solution designs.
• As part of this, you will use your excellent communication skills as you act as the key contact point for the customer, guiding them through the analysis process and becoming their trusted advisor on IA process automation.
• Your experience in reviewing, testing and deploying RPA code into a Production Environment will be of paramount importance as you will work closely with a team of analysts and developers who will rely on your daily management and direction in terms of technical expertise, coding best practice, infrastructure architecture knowledge as well as your ability to pre-empt and speedily resolve any project issues so that delays are avoided.
• Additionally, your forward thinking and pro-active approach will ensure that all technological enablers and stakeholder engagements have been planned for in advance as you clearly articulate and document all risks, issues, project progress and other client-specific project requirements to ensure smooth delivery under the direction of EY senior management.
• You will be responsible for meeting all scope, quality, deadline, and budget requirements as part of deploying resources and managing a team of both local and global IA experts.
• It is important to be keen on learning new skills, as your projects from time to time may also include supporting other domains such as emerging technologies, supply chain or IT implementation.
• As part of your daily work, and as an ambassador of the EY Brand, you will seek to promote the services of EY and the benefits of RPA with the aim of widening the prospects for further business opportunities.
• To enrich your development and your contribution to the IA team, you will participate in the development of new offerings and innovation in the automation space as well as in building the EY IA capability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Summarize and confirm the client business environment including business processes, IT systems and systems interfaces.
• Automate complex business processes.
• Document and review work products produced by IA project team members.
• Develop relationships and work with middle management-level clients.
• Perform analysis of Client’s as-is processes, obtain a thorough understanding of the activities, interdependencies, and data flows, and recommend the most suitable solution for automation and/or enhancement.
• Preparation and facilitation of process design sessions related to IA processes, including validation of process logic, business rules and MI reporting requirement.
• Configuration of process components, including coding of process flows, controls, exception handling etc. in a recognized IA tool.
• Design and document process automation architectures and related use cases.
• Analyse, design, test, prototype and implement process enhancements; control and tuning of pre-built automation processes.
• Prioritising the process automation pipeline to deliver the biggest business value first, in a cost-effective manner and against business requirements.
• Operational accountability for the delivery of automated processes according to agreed timelines.
• Responsible for tracking and reporting of process performance and benefits to all stakeholders.
• Managing resistance, including both business and technical challenges.
• Accountable for performance of allocated team members, and for incorporation of continuous improvement by means of implementing key learnings from RPA experience gained.
• Managing the relationship with IT to deliver a stable and scalable technology platform that is fit for purpose.
• Engagement with business and IT change management teams to proactively manage operational and system changes to maintain service delivery.
• Act as internal and external escalation point for operations, IT and third parties.
• Support all configuration / development effort involving RPA software.
• Leadership of individual work streams associated with an RPA process.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

• Hands-on work-related experience in designing, delivering and managing automated solutions.
• Experience in recognized RPA software such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, UI Path or Work Fusion software.
• Experience in more than one RPA / Intelligent Automation software package an advantage.
• Relevant entry level qualification in programming, preferably Java.
• Experience in data analysis or business analysis, relevant qualification an advantage.
• Experience in process analysis and improvement.
• An MBA or Lean Six Sigma certification is highly advantageous.
• 4 – 7 years’ related IT projects and/or IT implementation experience.
• SAFe Lean Agile project methodology experience (qualification preferred).
• Experience in managing a team of up to 10 people or multiple smaller teams of people.
