Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for complex enterprise applications. • Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that all applications are tested thoroughly and meet the required quality standards.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that all code changes are properly tested.
• Collaborate with other teams (e.g., development, QA, operations) to ensure that all aspects of the system are fully integrated and working correctly.
• Continuously improve the testing process by identifying areas for automation and developing new tools and scripts.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
• Experience with testing complex enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Appium, and JMeter.
• Experience with API testing, using tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
