Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Leadership and Development

Provide leadership regarding EI of the Company and contribute to the development of policies, processes, and standards.

Work Objectives Management

Manage the delivery of work objectives, including requests for EI development, prioritising work based on business needs and available resources.

Quality Assurance

Define and operationalise quality assurance and unit testing procedures to ensure high-quality solutions.

Platform Maintenance and Monitoring

Lead ongoing maintenance and support for the EI platform; monitor business use and performance of EI platforms and integration components, providing feedback to support areas, database admins, and infrastructure teams.

Environment Consistency and Growth Initiatives

Provide leadership to ensure consistency and integrity within EI environments; manage EI improvement and growth initiatives, estimating work efforts and durations.

Project Oversight

Oversee design, construction, testing, and implementation of EI programs, translating business needs into solutions for large projects.

Standards and Vendor Interaction

Represent EI on technology standards and architectural committees; interact with vendors for software selection, implementation, configuration, and maintenance, recommending cost-reduction and productivity improvements.

System Redundancy and Disaster Recovery

Manage design and implementation of redundant systems, including policies and procedures for disaster recovery to ensure asset protection and integrity.

Governance and Team Development

Work according to IT governance standards; manage team performance and development, ensuring training and mentoring of staff as per best practices.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in ICT, Engineering, or equivalent;
  • 8-10 years’ experience in a large-scale EI or ICT environment;
  • At least 3 years in management or supervisory roles.
Additional Skills and Knowledge
  • Industry, organisational, and business awareness;
  • Verbal and written communication skills;
  • Knowledge in problem-solving, automated testing tools, contract negotiation, technology implementation, relationship management, and change management.
