Placements24 is assisting a client in Randburg to appoint an Insurance Risk Manager who will lead risk identification, assessment and mitigation across the organization to safeguard assets and continuity.

You will design and implement risk frameworks, report to senior leadership, and foster a risk-aware culture, with responsibilities spanning financial, operational and regulatory risk.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field.
• Significant experience in risk management, esp. in insurance/financial services.
• Familiarity with risk assessment methods and COSO framework.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Proven leadership and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and experienced Insurance Risk Manager to lead their risk management efforts in Randburg . This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks across the organization to protect its assets and ensure business continuity. You will develop and implement robust risk management frameworks and strategies, working closely with senior management and various departments. This is a critical leadership position within the Gauteng operations, contributing to the company's long-term stability and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks (financial, operational, strategic, compliance, etc.).
