About The Role

Santam Operations Commercial Contact Centre has career opportunities for Insurance Sales Consultants based in Cape Town (Bellville) or Johannesburg. The role focuses on providing end-to-end service and support to brokers while achieving sales targets in a commercial contact centre environment.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet sales targets.
  • Contribute to net profit and business growth targets.
  • Deliver exceptional service exceeding customer expectations through proactive and innovative solutions.
  • Provide telephonic and email support to brokers and authorized representatives.
  • Analyze broker requests and provide quotations to secure business (conversion).
  • Initiate outbound calls to discuss quotations and convert policies.
  • Issue new business policies.
  • Assist in resolving insurance queries within required timeframes and compliance standards.
  • Implement solutions for process improvements.
  • Adhere to workforce management principles to optimize productivity.
  • Prioritize workflow to meet standards of productivity, quality, and deadlines.
  • Manage client expectations regarding turnaround times.

Adhere to underwriting criteria and regional requirements. Assist with client profiling to recommend suitable products and underwriting solutions.

Qualifications And Experience

  • 1-3 years’ experience in an insurance (commercial lines) sales contact centre.
  • Matric qualification.
  • Minimum 60 Commercial Lines Short-term Insurance credits.
  • Relevant insurance qualification (NQF 5) is beneficial.
  • Compliance with FAIS Fit and Proper criteria, including experience and competency requirements.
  • Proven sales record with consistent target achievement.
  • Experience in outbound call centre sales.
  • Strong adherence to quality standards and compliance.
