Qualifications

  • A degree in law or related field with a Compliance Management Certificate.
  • 5–7 years’ insurance compliance experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Solid knowledge of FAIS, Insurance Acts, FIC Act, AML, and the broader regulatory landscape.
  • Collaborative mindset with confidence to engage senior stakeholders and regulators.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Compliance Monitoring Programme across the business.
  • Review, update, and embed policies, procedures, and Codes of Conduct to align with regulatory requirements.
  • Advise senior management on compliance risks, regulatory updates, and governance matters.
  • Partner with Legal, Risk, and Operational teams to investigate and resolve compliance breaches.
  • Conduct ongoing training and awareness programmes to build a compliance-conscious workforce.
  • Drive the reporting of compliance results, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.

Our client, a respected player in the financial services industry, is seeking a Compliance Manager to strengthen oversight and embed a culture of accountability across their operations.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a key role in developing, monitoring, and reporting on compliance programmes that ensure full adherence to the Companies Act, FAIS, the Insurance Acts, FIC Act, and related legislation. This role goes beyond ticking boxes — it’s about influencing culture, guiding decision-makers, and ensuring the business operates with transparency and ethical intent.

Key Responsibilities
