About the Role
As a Broker Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our brokerage. You will work closely with the principal financial adviser to manage daily administrative tasks, streamline client communications, and ensure regulatory compliance is met across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
• Client Support: Handle client correspondence, manage meeting schedules, and ensure timely follow-ups
• Document Management: Maintain client records, prepare documentation for compliance, and assist with audit readiness
• Meeting Coordination: Schedule appointments, prepare meeting materials, and manage confirmations
• Calendar Management: Optimise the adviser’s calendar for meetings, internal reviews, and client engagements
• Client Reporting: Compile, format, and manage regular client updates and general client servicing
• Administrative Tasks: Deal with various product providers, application capturing and submissions, assist with general office support
What We’re Looking For
• Impeccable organisational skills with a strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator with high emotional intelligence
• Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Comfortable working independently and handling competing priorities
• High levels of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
Requirements
• Experience in a similar role within a financial advisory, insurance, or wealth management firm
• Familiarity with financial products such as Life Cover, Short-Term Insurance, Investments, Medical Aid, and Employee Benefits
• Proficiency with CRM and industry-related systems (e.g., Elite Wealth, atWork)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage compliance-related tasks and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
• RE5 certification (advantage)
• Experience supporting a financial adviser or executive in the financial services sector
• Exposure to portfolio management systems and financial reporting tools
