Job Title: Sales Engineer - Cape Town
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Engineer to join our team and establish the Cape Town market.
Main Job Functions
- Develop and maintain the customer base within the region.
- Promote our range of products through cold calling, sales and technical presentations, and live demonstrations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maximize sales opportunities.
- Stay updated on existing and new products.
- Use our CRM (Bluewave) to plan and manage daily sales activities, and produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts.
- Create customer quotations using the CRM system.
- Attend bi-weekly sales meetings via MS Teams and report daily to the sales manager.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Solutions, Service, and Project teams.
- Provide technical sales support for our product range.
Qualifications
Relevant degree or diploma.
Experience and Criteria
- Proven track record in a similar sales role, exceeding targets.
- Product knowledge or a strong technical background in process instrumentation is preferred.
- Experience with process control instruments for measuring flow, level, pressure, moisture, humidity, and gas analysis in industries such as Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Mining, Food & Beverage, Paper, Pulp, Sugar, Cement, Air Separation, and Pharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge of process control applications and manual valves.
- Ability to develop and implement account plans, forecasts, reports, and call plans.
- Determined, tenacious, and proactive in the role.
- Strong business acumen and focus on outcomes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience with CRM tools is highly regarded.
