Job summary

Samancor Chrome Ltd. in South Africa is seeking an Electrical/Process Instrumentation professional to safely maintain measurement, automation and control equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing production using automation technology.

The role requires a B Degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Process Instrumentation with at least 4 years' relevant experience, PLC/SCADA exposure, and a drive for continuous improvement within the ferroalloy environment.

Qualifications

• 4 years’ relevant experience
• PLC and SCADA training and experience
• Ferroalloy industry experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain measurement, automation and control equipment to minimize downtime.
• Identify and mitigate risk and ensure SHEQ compliance.
• Lead maintenance plans and provide status reports to the Instrumentation Superintendent.
• Develop training modules to HRD standards.
• Ensure plant reliability and drive continuous improvement.
