Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience as an Instrument Technician.
  • Driver’s license (Code EB/08) is required.

Instrument Technician – Fixed Term

We are currently accepting applications for the position located in Witbank, Mpumalanga.

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring all instrumentation equipment is continuously maintained and operational.

Responsibilities:
  1. Fault finding and programming on all Modular Dispatch Hardware.
  2. Managing and maintaining the CATS Server, Database, PDS, and Access Control systems.
  3. Programming of two-way radios and database administration.
  4. Maintaining compliance with HSEC requirements.
  5. Problem solving, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • N6 Certificate with instrumentation major subjects and an Instrumentation Trade Certificate OR a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering with instrumentation major subjects.
  • Tech Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation major) is advantageous.
  • Driver’s license (Code EB/08).
Minimum Experience:
  • At least 3 years’ experience as an Instrument Technician.
  • Knowledge of CompTIA Network.
  • Experience with industrial and wireless networks.
  • Familiarity with Motorola Radio Network.
  • Experience with Fleet Management Systems – Modular & PDS.
