Salary: 385k pa to 700k pa
Location: Bellville, Western Cape
Shifts: 6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am (The company is a 24hr Operation)
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- Analyze and interpret trends to resolve complex or chronic process failures, increasing uptime and reducing unplanned downtime.
- Be the custodian of condition monitoring, ensuring activities are carried out to the highest quality to improve equipment reliability.
- Maintain responsibility for equipment specifications and engineering standards.
- Support shutdown planning, execution, and post-mortem activities.
- Identify, motivate, and implement improvement initiatives and capex projects.
- Collaborate with Electrical Coordinator, Section Engineers, and Process Engineers in project design and execution in the mill.

- Grade 12 – High School (Required)
- N3 – Instrumentation (Required)
- Trade Test – Instrumentation (Required)
- N4 or Higher – Instrumentation (Advantageous)
- S4 or Diploma – Electrical (Light Current) (Advantageous)
Experience
- 6 years of Food/FMCG industrial electrical experience (post-trade test) (Required)
- 6 years of calibrations experience (Required)
- 6 years of electronics experience (Required)
- 6 years of DCS experience (Required)
- 6 years of PLCs experience (Required)

KEY PERFORMANCE OUTPUT AREAS
Health and Safety
- Participate in safety programs; identify and report hazards.
- Comply with procedures; close out incidents and near-misses.

Optimise Plant and Equipment Availability
- Ensure correct spares are available and quality checked.
- Participate in shut planning to optimize downtime usage.
