Job summary

M&G Investments Southern Africa is seeking a Data and Valuations Specialist within the Data Management team in Investment Administration. The role focuses on instrument valuations and reference data setup, with responsibilities spanning data quality, pricing and support for related queries.

The ideal candidate has a B.BusSc/BCom Finance and 3–5 years’ experience in data/valuations, plus strong Excel skills and familiarity with InvestOne or Bloomberg.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/BCom in finance with understanding of investment management processes.
• 3–5 years in Data/Valuations or similar role.
• Experience with investment administration systems and portfolio management.
• Proficient Excel skills; Bloomberg/InvestOne advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Execute and review instrument, portfolio and trade data across systems.
• Maintain daily asset pricing processes including price scrubbing.
• Manage reference data setup and resolve data-related issues.
• Support data management, asset pricing and trade-related queries as first line.
• Contribute to team risk framework through controls review and incident reporting.
