Role Purpose

Metropolitan seeks a mature, experienced, and creative Learning Designer skilled in multiple design methodologies, with strong business acumen and keen attention to detail. The successful candidate will design engaging, experiential, high-quality learning content aligned with business needs, including multimedia, digital learning, instructor-led training, and virtual facilitation materials.


Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or qualification related to HR or Learning & Development
  • Over 5 years of experience in designing corporate learning content, including induction, service skills, soft skills, and systems training
  • Proven track record in traditional and digital learning design, with a portfolio of work to showcase
  • Experience with creative, AI, or eLearning software is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of adult education, training, and development content design
  • Familiarity with agile project management principles
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and prioritize multiple deliverables
  • Strong problem analysis, risk identification, and solution development skills
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines across multiple projects
  • Excellent English writing skills, with clarity and grammatical accuracy, and a keen eye for detail
  • Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to analyze and understand learning needs
  • Collaborate effectively with internal clients and senior management
  • Design and develop engaging learning content for various delivery modes, including virtual, eLearning, self-directed, and bite-sized learning
  • Create facilitator guides, learning guides, presentations, and artefacts to achieve learning outcomes
  • Use creative and design thinking to explore best-fit solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships to conduct learning needs analysis and produce high-standard learning materials rapidly
  • Develop assessment tools aligned with Kirkpatrick’s methodology
  • Design iterative learning materials with continual stakeholder sign-off and improvements
  • Manage project timelines to meet deadlines
  • Implement mechanisms to reinforce learning post-intervention
  • Ensure all learning meets departmental quality standards
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for effective delivery
  • Collaborate with Learning Delivery to ensure ROI of learning initiatives
