Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Installer Electrician with an IE (Installation Electrician) Qualification to join our team in George. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical installations, maintenance, and fault-finding in residential, commercial, and industrial environments, ensuring compliance with SANS standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance according to SANS 10142 wiring codes.
• Issue Certificates of Compliance (CoC) where required.
• Install and maintain electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
• Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete jobs within deadlines.
• Maintain accurate job cards, reports, and documentation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to apprentices and assistants when required.

Requirements

• Valid Installation Electrician (IE) Wireman’s License.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as an Electrician, with proven installation background.
• Sound knowledge of SANS wiring code and electrical regulations.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Experience with solar installations, inverters, and backup power systems (advantageous).
• Computer literacy (MS Office / job card systems).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
