Intermediate Test Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Execute test cases as outlined in the test plan.

Log defects in detail and manage the defect life cycle.

Use test reporting templates to track progress and provide feedback to internal teams.

Analyse requirements to identify environmental needs and create relevant test data.

Perform usability, compatibility, device, and browser testing.

Engage in test reporting to internal teams, utilising relevant test management tools.

Write CRUD SQL queries and utilise joins to facilitate complex database testing.

Define and optimise defect management processes.

Report testing results, including NFR assessments, to external stakeholders.

Create basic test reports and dashboards, including interpretation of test results.

Conduct non-certification-level accessibility and performance testing using tools and techniques such as network tabs for performance.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to grooming user stories, and provide suggestions for improvement.

Skills and Competencies:

Fundamental understanding of relational and non-relational databases.

Ability to write select queries in SQL.

Knowledge of various manual testing types and non-functional requirements (NFRs), including usability, compatibility, accessibility, performance, and security testing.

Basic understanding of Agile methodology, BDD, and TDD concepts.

Familiarity with testing tools for API and SQL queries.

Enhanced SQL skills with the ability to manage and query complex databases.

Ability to link test cases to requirements and create non-production test data.

Proficient in creating test reports and dashboards, including the interpretation of results to stakeholders.

Intermediate understanding and involvement in Agile and SAFe methodologies.
