Job description

As the Inside Sales Account Manager, you will report to the Country Sales Manager for Africa.

Your primary focus will be identifying, attracting, and securing new business while strengthening relationships with existing customers across the UK & Ireland. The Inside Sales Account Manager will have a portfolio of their own to develop and grow, whilst supporting the overall goals and objectives of the UK & Ireland business unit, to maximize their earnings potential by exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

  1. Prospecting, Revenue Generation & Quotation Management: Working with Biocair sales lead data sources, tools, and marketing to generate leads.
  2. Generating business from future prospects using all means of communication.
  3. Identifying and closing opportunities to develop new revenue from new and existing customers.
  4. Increasing revenue by effectively selling to customers in the UKI market using the tools and training to operate productively in terms of customer contacts and sales conversion.
  5. Providing customers with fast and competitive winning quotations.
  6. Ensuring all quotes are followed up and using the appropriate Biocair tools to prepare and send them.
  7. Providing input and escalating where required for addressing customer issues, providing corrective and preventative actions with the assistance of the appropriate team members.
  8. Creating and maintaining an up-to-date pipeline of opportunities in the Client Relationship Management system (CRM), currently Salesforce.

Client Relationship Management & Customer Support

  1. Identifying and closing opportunities to develop new revenue from new and existing customers.
  2. Increasing revenue by effectively selling to customers in the UKI market using the tools and training to operate productively in terms of customer contacts and sales conversion.
  3. Providing customers with fast and competitive winning quotations.

Internal Collaboration

  1. Collaborating with Operations to ensure they are aware of sales onboarding to ensure they are fully aware of business coming.
  2. Recording all client contact communications in the CRM.
  3. Preparing special reports and presentations as needed.
  4. Working with other departments but ensuring their tasks are done by them, i.e., operational queries, issues, billing errors, etc.

Key Competencies

  1. Previous experience of a similar role within specialist logistics, and ideally cold chain, industry is essential.
  2. Strong sales skills and proven experience of identifying, attracting and securing new business as well as continuing to strengthen existing relationships.
  3. Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, with a proficiency in recording and managing client communications in a CRM.
  4. Demonstrated experience in talking to and selling to customers to win new business, including quotation preparation and using customer sales products.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to adapt your communication style based on the audience.

Please note this is a full-time role, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08.30 - 17.30 and offered as % on site from our office in Kempton Park. This is a South Africa based role and the right to live and work in South Africa will need to be established during the recruitment process.
