The ideal candidate holds a BEd or PGCE in FET, is SACE-registered, has 3 years’ FET experience, and demonstrates strong classroom management, planning, and collaboration with parents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• BEd or PGCE in FET phase education; honours advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an FET phase teacher.
• Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum.
• Proven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.
• Willing and able to work extended hours and weekends.
• SACE-registered and clear criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate subjects per Curro curriculum for the FET phase.
• Plan lessons, set up term plans and differentiated learning materials.
• Create baseline assessments and advise on subject choices and remedial work.
• Manage classroom, assessments, homework, and moderation.
• Coordinate extramural activities and provide tutoring as needed.
• Communicate with learners and parents regarding progress.
