As a leader in our industry, we are seeking a high-performance driven individual to manage our Cybersecurity and Infrastructure.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive the protection of our assets, manage our digital infrastructure, and lead our cybersecurity initiatives.

Main Duties
  1. Day-to-Day Operations: Implementing and overseeing strategies to assess and mitigate risk, safeguarding the corporation and its assets, and crisis management.
  2. Security: Developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes and policies, identifying and reducing risks, and limiting liability and exposure to informational, physical, and financial risks.
  3. Compliance: Working with a legal / compliance team, or being independently responsible for ensuring the company complies with local, national, and global regulations, especially in areas like privacy.
  4. Innovation: Conducting research and executing security management solutions to help keep the organization safe.
  5. Infrastructure Procurement: Head the procurement of all infrastructure including hardware, software, network, and related security services such as NSOC, SIEM, antivirus, malware, etc.
  6. Cybersecurity Awareness: Manage enterprise-wide cybersecurity training, testing application of security knowledge using various methodologies and tools.
  7. Knowledge Management: Establish and maintain a system on infrastructure and security incidents to enhance security resilience and training.
  8. Third-party Management: Manage SLAs of third-party service providers to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  9. Firewall Management: Maintain the organization's firewall and analyze, plan, and monitor digital infrastructure across all African entities.
  10. System Design and Maintenance: Participate in designing and maintaining system architecture with security in mind, perform server administration, and monitor cloud health (AWS, GCP).
  11. Network and Infrastructure Support: Support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, VPNs, and network segments, perform audits, and troubleshoot issues.
  12. Security Updates and Protocols: Stay updated with new security threats, implement endpoint protection, patch management, and vulnerability management systems.
  13. Disaster Recovery Planning: Collaborate with IT operations to develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  14. Employee Education: Work with HR to educate employees on security best practices and suspicious activity detection.
Requirements
  • Matric
  • AWS System Administration & Cloud Certification, with expert Kubernetes knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT
  • Information Security or IT certifications (CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, ISO Lead Auditor, GIAC) preferred
  • 7-9 years experience in network or system administration with a security portfolio
  • Experience configuring firewalls (Fortigate or similar)
  • System administration certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or similar
  • Knowledge of virtualization (VMWare), cloud (AWS, GCP), networking, scripting, and automation tools
