Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a client in Rustenburg to recruit an Information Security Auditor who will plan and execute audits of networks, applications and data security controls.

You will assess control effectiveness, ensure regulatory compliance with industry standards, prepare detailed audit reports, and collaborate with IT and business teams to remediate findings while keeping up with current threats and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in information security auditing or IT compliance.
• Proven experience auditing network infrastructure, applications, and data security controls.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, COBIT, or SOX.
• CISA, CISSP, or CRISC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document information security audits across various systems and processes.
• Assess the effectiveness of existing security controls and identify gaps or areas for improvement.
• Evaluate compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, presenting findings and actionable recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to track the remediation of audit findings.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and audit best practices.
