Job summary

Discovery Limited is seeking an Information Governance Specialist to enhance and execute governance, privacy and security controls across the organisation. The role translates regulatory requirements into operational policies and audits, and oversees governance activities with oversight from senior leadership.

You will collaborate with legal, compliance and IT teams to implement controls, monitor metrics, and provide training to stakeholders on governance and privacy topics.

Qualifications

• IT, Privacy or Legal related Diploma / Degree required.
• IT qualifications (A+, N+ or equivalent) and proven experience preferred.
• 6+ years solid experience in information governance, compliance, risk or IT assurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain policies, procedures and practices related to IT, Privacy and Security governance.
• Lead, implement and maintain governance and compliance frameworks, standards and controls.
• Facilitate training and communication regarding Information Governance (including Privacy).
• Support governance planning, execution, reporting and assurance with technology and privacy teams and stakeholders.
• Assist in identifying applicable laws and regulations with Group Legal and Group Compliance and implement controls for compliance.
• Identify gaps, risks and non-compliance and coordinate remediation efforts.
