Job summary

The Department of Health seeks a Clinical Programme Coordinator: IPC PNA-5 to lead infection prevention and control across Sedibeng District. The role requires guiding facilities to implement IPC policies and oversee audits and compliance.

You will chair OHS and IPC committees, drive multimodal improvement strategies, and ensure training for staff to reach high adherence. Applicants must have nursing qualification and SANC registration, with at least seven years' general nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent with a Basic R425 nursing qualification.
• Current registration with SANC as Professional Nurse.
• Minimum 7 years nursing experience after registration with SANC in General Nursing.
• IPC experience considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor district IPC programme and compliance with policy guidelines.
• Establish district IPC committee and support IPC committees in healthcare facilities.
• Lead multimodal improvement strategies and staff education on IPC to achieve compliance.
