A leading healthcare provider in Mbombela is seeking an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Officer. You will implement and manage the IPC program, ensuring compliance with health standards and regulations. A nursing qualification and at least 2-4 years in a hospital environment are essential. This role offers the opportunity to influence safety and quality initiatives within a dynamic team.
To assist with the implementation and maintenance of a functional Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) programme at hospital level
Identify, mitigate and manage risks related to Infection Prevention and Control
Investigate, analyse and interpret clinical data and act upon findings
Ensure adherence to statutory bodies
Identify training needs in the hospital and provide input in the development of training material
Influence and equip hospital teams to understand and comply with IPC policies and principles
Provide support with patient safety and quality improvement initiatives in the absence of the Patient Safety Manager

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Nursing qualification (degree or diploma)
DESIRED EDUCATION: IPC course
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2-4 Years working in a hospital environment as a professional healthcare practitioner
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year IPC related work
