Placements24 in Durban is seeking a dedicated Infant Care Specialist to provide loving, professional care for newborns to 18-month-olds, fostering safety, growth and attachment.

You will lead age-appropriate activities, maintain daily records, and communicate with parents and the centre management while upholding health and safety standards in a nurturing environment.

The role requires CPR/First Aid certification and a genuine passion for infant development.

Qualifications

• Recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development or infant care.
• Experience caring for infants in a professional setting.
• Certification in infant CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for infants, including feeding, diapering, comforting, and supervising sleep schedules.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities designed to stimulate sensory, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
• Ensure a safe and hygienic environment, adhering to health and safety protocols for infants.
• Build warm and trusting relationships with infants, responding to their needs and cues.
• Maintain detailed daily records of feeding, sleeping, and developmental milestones, and communicate observations to parents and management.
