Key responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans by analyzing market opportunities and setting objectives.
- Achieve objectives by establishing business plans, budgets, measuring results, allocating resources, reviewing progress, and making mid-course corrections.
- Ensure alignment with the Service Division strategies and collaborate fully with Gl and MVI Business Lines.
- Enhance Service team effectiveness through recruiting, training, coaching, communicating values and objectives, and ensuring work processes align with Service Division guidelines.
- Support aftermarket setup for all products from Divisions and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure appropriate staffing and training to meet necessary competence levels.
- Take P&L responsibility to ensure the Service Business Line meets financial goals and objectives.
- Develop sales, promote, negotiate, and manage service contracts.
- Support the development of our calibration laboratory.
- Launch new service products to the market.
- Monitor targets and scorecards, and improve operational efficiency.
- Represent the Service Business Line at local business boards.
- Continuously improve customer satisfaction and maintain key customer relationships within the region.
- Lead the team to achieve high customer satisfaction by adapting organization and processes to customer needs.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement an optimized market strategy within Sub-Saharan Africa.
Educational and Experience requirements
- University degree in engineering with at least 5 years' experience in technical and business functions.
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Proven experience managing technical teams and driving service sales in industrial maintenance, preferably in the Motor Vehicle Industry assembly plants.
- Experience with data-driven services and production technique consultancy.
- Knowledge of assembly tools and tightening techniques is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, CRM.
- Thorough understanding of organizational finance.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within Sub-Saharan Africa.
