Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Systems Engineer in Randburg to design, implement, and optimize integrated systems for manufacturing and logistics. You will lead project work on production lines, material handling and automation, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency and safety.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least four years in industrial systems.

Qualificações

• 4+ years’ experience in industrial systems design, analysis or implementation.
• Proven Lean Six Sigma experience with process improvements.
• Strong automation, material handling and manufacturing knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop industrial systems including production lines and automation.
• Analyze existing systems to identify inefficiencies and improvements.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma to implement process improvements.
• Perform feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for upgrades.
• Collaborate with R&D, production and IT for system integration.
• Develop and maintain system documentation (P&IDs, specs).
• Troubleshoot and minimize downtime; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety and industry-standard compliance in designs.
• Monitor performance and adjust for optimal efficiency.
• Provide guidance to operations and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial systems, including production lines, material handling, and automation solutions.

• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed system upgrades and new installations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial systems design, analysis, or implementation.
• Proven experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Strong understanding of automation, material handling, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in relevant software, such as CAD, simulation tools, and data analysis platforms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience working in the Randburg area is preferred.
