Job summary

Sandvik Group, Rock Processing division, seeks a focused Spray Painter to set up and operate spray equipment at our Spartan, Kempton Park site. You will prepare surfaces, mix coatings, and apply primer, main coat and finish while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires 3–5 years of metal painting experience and practical knowledge of industrial painting techniques. This position offers an on-site arrangement with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (minimum).
• 3–5 years' experience painting manufactured metal components in a metal industry.
• Knowledge of practical painting techniques and industrial painting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up spray equipment and mix materials to obtain correct colours.
• Prepare surfaces (washing/masking) and perform sanding as needed.
• Apply primer, main coat and finish; check quality of the finished work.
• Maintain and clean spray equipment; ensure safe, tidy work area.
• Follow safety requirements and report any issues to supervisor.
