Job summary

Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd is seeking amaintenance assistant to support on-site equipment and plant reliability. The role involves preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment, assisting with installations, reporting defects, and helping tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC tasks.

The successful candidate should have Grade 12 and 1–3 years of FMCG experience, with strong engineering knowledge, food safety awareness, and good communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 1-3 years FMCG experience.
• Expert knowledge of engineering principles.
• Knowledge of food safety and GMP.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Assist with installation and project work as required.
• Report defects noticed during normal functions.
• Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs.
• Perform maintenance and light repairs and house-keeping.
• Visually inspect system components for proper and safe operation.
