Tasks
- Lead, motivate and manage the two teams to develop people with high skill and performance.
- Ensure no production loss by planning preventive maintenance, spare parts management and fast resolution of equipment downtime.
- Evaluate and purchase the right equipment to perform the necessary operations, based on internal customer requirement, specifications, cost and legal compliance.
- Work closely with manufacturing engineering team to finalize the specification of the new/renewal of equipment, along with its purchase, trial operation and handover to production.
- Setup and sustain a good set of suppliers who can provide competitive performance and price for equipment and services used in the plant.
- Actively explore improvements in technology, performance, process and environment conscious solutions for the responsible equipment and solutions owned by the team.
- Support new product introduction by participating in project discussions and evaluating new equipment specification with the Japan team.
- Ensure that the plant, equipment and solutions adhere to the necessary legal and compliance requirements to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in leading a strong team with time-sensitive and high-quality deliverables.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken (mandatory).
- Fluent in Portuguese, both written and spoken (eliminatory factor).
- 3 years or more experience in industrial maintenance or production in a manufacturing environment is a must.
- Advanced qualification or experience in one or more of the following areas: electrotechnical engineering, mechatronics, PLC programming, industrial robots, cobots, AGV, ISQ, DL50/2005, equipment calibration, SAP PM or other automotive industrial requirements.
- Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, electrical, automotive or equivalent from a reputed university.
