Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Field Sales Representative to cover Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal. You will develop relationships with industrial clients, engineers, and contractors, demonstrate products on site, and close competitive deals through technical know-how and strong negotiation.

This role requires extensive travel, reporting from the field, and a proactive approach. A technical qualification is advantageous; a valid driver's license and CRM/MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in field sales, preferably within the industrial supplies or manufacturing sector.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
• Strong knowledge of industrial products, safety equipment, and related applications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
• A technical qualification or degree in Engineering or a related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets in the assigned territory.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities with industrial clients, engineers, and procurement managers.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers by providing excellent service and support.
• Conduct on-site product demonstrations and technical consultations to address client needs.
• Understand the specific applications and benefits of industrial supplies and safety equipment.
• Prepare accurate quotes and proposals, negotiating terms to close deals.
• Regularly report on sales activities, market intelligence, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient order processing and delivery.
