Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Equipment Technician to support operations in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency repairs to keep production lines running safely and efficiently.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, interpret manuals and schematics, and document activities in the CMMS. The position requires hands-on skills, safety focus, and willingness to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Industrial Technician or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems.
• Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional shifts and overtime, to support production needs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery, including preventative lubrication, calibration, and part replacement.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system failures on production equipment.
• Interpret equipment manuals , blueprints, and schematics to perform complex repairs.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new industrial equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities using the CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance tasks.
