Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Equipment Repair Technician for an on-site role in Centurion, Gauteng. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of industrial machinery, coordinating with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills, basic PLC knowledge, and a commitment to safety. You will support preventative maintenance and document findings in the maintenance system.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Industrial Equipment Repair Technician in manufacturing/heavy industry.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Experience with electrical systems, motor controls and basic PLC troubleshooting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on industrial machinery including production lines, CNC machines, and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues to identify root causes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance according to schedules for optimal performance.
• Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, schematics, and repair diagrams.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble complex machinery.
• Replace or repair worn parts using hand and power tools.
• Test repaired equipment to verify function and compliance with specs.
• Document repair work, parts used, and labor hours in the CMMS.
• Adhere to safety regulations in workshop and on the floor.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production staff to minimize disruption.
