Role Outline
Accountable for monitoring material flow plans and standard times for processes and continuous improvement within the business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to the company’s rules and regulations as documented in the company’s disciplinary policy;
- Ensure safe work practices as defined during Induction and other health and safety related training and awareness campaigns;
- Perform other reasonable and executable tasks within your vocational ability, as assigned by the supervisor;
- Standardize, implement, and improve logistics processes; update manpower assignments according to company and/or customer requirements;
- Create and update standard operating sheets for the business unit in line with company standards;
- Conduct ergonomic audits and implement process improvements;
- Support and attend GEMBA processes, RFQ's, and resolve operational struggle points where required;
- Identify waste processes and implement methods to reduce or eliminate non-value-adding activities;
- Determine resource requirements as needed;
- Set up standardized processes for the business unit;
- Plan material flow parts;
- Ensure all applicable documentation is registered on the quality system as required;
- Ensure planned headcount, MHE, and other resources are accurate and available.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric (English & Maths)
- National Diploma in Industrial Engineering
- P1 & P2 Practical Completion
- MTM UAS certification
- MTM Logistics certification
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
- Ability to apply expertise and technology effectively;
- Strong planning and organizational skills;
- Ability to deliver results and meet customer expectations;
- Adaptability to change;
- Resilience under pressure and setbacks.
